Sue Holloway is a member of the Patent Practice Group. Sue is a registered patent attorney practicing in the areas of computer hardware and software, including patents, licensing, opinions, and intellectual property counseling. Her practice also encompasses international patent and copyright protection. She holds an B.S. in Engineering from Case Institute of Technology, and a J.D., cum laude, from California Western School of Law. One of her early patents was published in Electronic and Software Patents: Law and Practice (BNA Books).

Sue was interviewed as one of America’s Most Influential Women by Sky Radio in 2005, and was honored as one of the top patent attorneys in the San Francisco region by Bay Area Lawyer magazine in 2006. She also regularly participates as a panel member discussing advanced patent licensing issues for Practicing Law Institute.

Before becoming an attorney, Sue worked as a system analyst and product manager, specializing in database systems, compilers, and artificial intelligence for several large computer companies and a start-up venture. Her background as a computer programmer/analyst and as a product manager enables Sue to thoroughly understand both the technical aspects of computer-related inventions and the business issues surrounding them.
