Lori Boatright chairs the Firm’s Trademark Practice Group. Her practice includes all aspects of trademarks, unfair competition, related publicity rights and other “soft IP.” She focuses primarily on transactional work and client counseling, including the selection and clearance of marks, development and management of domestic and international trademark portfolios, and establishing and enforcing rights. She has extensive experience in resolving conflicts over disputed marks – from negotiation through formal proceedings at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and federal courts. She also has significant experience in licensing, IP contracts, and due diligence.

Lori has been a featured lecturer on trademark and domain name matters in a variety of settings, including professional, academic and business organizations, as well as the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. She has been named to Who’s Who: Legal for Trademarks in successive years and Who's Who Executives and Professionals Throughout the World. Lori recently began her second stint on the firm’s Management Committee and chairs the Firm’s Strategic Planning Committee. She is proud that the Firm’s Trademark Group has been granted the NameProtect Trademark Insider® Award for a National Top Ten Trademark Law Firm as well as the Best Regional Firm for the nation’s second largest market.

Prior to joining the Firm, Lori was a Trademark Examining Attorney with the US Patent & Trademark Office and worked in civil litigation.
